Natural Egg Dying

Email share

Hello! My name is Missy Maxwell, a guest blogger and artist, here with a more “natural” take on egg dying. I lived with my Grandma for a few years growing up. She always had neat tips and tricks for using common household items in new ways. She taught me to save yellow onion skins for a few weeks before Easter, and use them to dye my eggs. I am going to share this process with you today.

Supplies

  • A dozen white eggs

  • Skins from at least 5 yellow onions

  • Mixing bowl

  • Water

  • Old nylon stockings

  • Scissors

  • A stove

  • Large saucepan with lid
