Hello! My name is Missy. I’m an artist and a blogger for PBS K Utah. This month, as the leaves are falling all around us, I thought it would be fun to use those leaves for an art project. I am going to teach you how to make Leaf Animals.

- 20 or more fallen leaves from around your yard
- liquid glue
- white cardstock paper
- scissors
- marker (optional)
Instructions
- Go on a walk around your yard or neighborhood and gather 20 or more fallen leaves. Gather different colors, sizes and shapes.
- Let the leaves dry off inside.
- Take a sheet of cardstock (you can fold it in half if you want to make a greeting card) and start arranging different leaves in different ways.
- Bigger leaves make nice bodies. Smaller leaves can be heads and ears. Cut leaves in half or in quarters to make arms, legs, tails, etc.
- You can also decorate the space around the animals with leaf plants, leaf rainbows, etc. or your marker.
- Once you have a nice composition created, use your liquid glue to secure the leaf pieces to the paper.
- Allow the glue to dry for a few hours. Using a heavy book on top can help the leaves dry flat.
