Producer
The Producer is a digitally-savvy content creator and storyteller who will be responsible for writing, producing, shooting and editing digital content for PBS Utah’s YouTube channel and our other platforms. This position will create original digital content [one-offs and series], contribute to PBS Utah’s YouTube gardening series, Modern Gardener, and otherwise help fulfill our mission of serving Utah audiences through authentic, high-quality digital content. The ideal candidate has proven experience with YouTube, has experience creating original digital content with the channel’s audiences in mind, has excellent written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, and excellent organizational and time management skills.
Reporter/Producer
The Reporter/Producer is the primary on-camera producer/reporter for public affairs content and topical, statewide storytelling in a variety of formats and platforms. The ideal candidate will be a digitally-savvy journalist experienced with ideating, researching, reporting, storytelling, writing and video editing news or public affairs content [from 1 to 3 minutes] as well as longer stories [from 3 to 8 minutes]. The ideal candidate has exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and excellent organizational and time management skills.
Sales & Accounting Coordinator
This key role will assist the sales team at PBS Utah and back up KUER and KUUB in managing all asset fulfillment processes, including asset management, data entry, basic accounting, and more, to ensure excellent and robust customer service. This role will involve interaction via email and phone calls with external clients and internal stakeholders, and I must be able to communicate effectively in writing and in personal interactions. Must be detail and deadline-oriented, with a mindset of completing daily, weekly and monthly tasks efficiently and with follow-through communication.
Production Coordinator
The Production Coordinator will play a vital role at Avanza 88.3 KUUB , Utah’s first bilingual public radio station, and will work closely with KUER operations and engineering colleagues. Avanza 88.3 KUUB broadcasts in both English and Spanish with a focus on music, culture, community and public affairs. This position supports the technical execution of programming, ensuring smooth broadcasts and production of high-quality audio content, both for linear and non-linear media. The ideal candidate will have experience with WideOrbit, audio recording, editing, and production, and will work closely with the Program Director to implement broadcast clocks and maintain on-air standards.
